FC Smith's Blew By You , MH (Webster) is an excellent marker with lots of drive and great trainability. He is handsome and has a wonderful personality. Webster is as comfortable at home on the couch as he is in the duck blind or at the line. Webster has proven to be a marvelous pheasant, duck and goose hunter and he gets to use these skills every season. He is handsome, nicely built, a pleasure to be around. Webster is also yellow-factored.

Stud Fee (as of 6/2000) $600 to approved bitches only:
Copies of your female's AKC registration, pedigree, hip OFA (must be good to excellent), and CERF eye clearances and proof of vaccinations are required and must be verified by Bill or Becky Eckett before any breedings will take place. A Brucellosis test must be done within four weeks prior to the breeding. It is essential that females be up to date on all typical shots (rabies, kennel cough, distemper/hepatitis/parvo, etc.) for their protection as well those at Blackwater Retrievers.
A $100 deposit made to Blackwater Retrievers is non-refundable and due at the time of breeding. The stud fee balance is due when the puppies are born and AKC litter registration papers are sent for signature. If the litter size is three pups or less, stud fee is $100 per pup.
Natural Breeding Arrangements:
There will be at least two ties attempted for each breeding and three if possible. Check with your DVM for optimal times to breed your female. Generally the 11th and 13th days bring the best results. All local veterinary costs are the responsibility of the bitch's owner. No costs will be incurred without bitch owner's permission unless it is an emergency.
Local Costs:
Boarding and breeding will be handled by Bill and Becky Eckett at $10.00 a day. Pick up plus return to airport charges (two round trips) are $80 for Kansas City Airport. A check covering local transportation costs and the $100 non-refundable stud fee charge must be attached to the crate along with the Brucellosis clearance. The female will be shipped back collect. If you want counter to counter return, a check must be enclosed for the cost. If owner transports female and cares for female, there will be no local costs but all breedings at Blackwater Retriever will be done according to their schedule and convenience.
Frozen Semen Breeding Arrangements:
Webster's frozen semen is stored at International Canine Genetics (ICG) in California. Frozen semen costs in addition to the stud fee for owners of bitches are: $180 which includes five-day tank rental, retrieval fee, ship to and return fees. Initial release agreements must be made with the Harmans with 10 to 14 days notice. There will be $750 deposit on the semen shipper which will be fully refunded upon return of shipper to ICG.
Scheduling:
We are pleased you've selected Webster for your breeding program. We will do our best to work with you regarding breeding your female to Webster. Please let us know the first day your female comes into season. Each female is different as to when she ovulates and when she will accept the male. It is best to keep in touch and give us plenty of time to accommodate your female's heat cycle.
